Good afternoon ladies and gentleman first and all let me thank for your come here today. Let me introduction myself my name is Jennie Chen.

 

According to the Department of Health’s census, an average of 15 Taiwanese people per day dies by suicide. And the suicide is relative with stress. Therefore if we want to avoid the suicide we need to know how to deal with pressure first. And today’s topic is very serious and very important to everyone that is “deal with stress”

 

In my presentation I will focus on three major issue.

The first I will talk about the stress and physical health.

Then I’ll move on recognize stress

Finally I will tell you reduce and relax yourself

My talk will take about 10 minute there will be time for question after my presentation.

 

So, let me give you a brief overview of the topic,

We all know the stress is relative to our life and health and what is connection between them. You can see this line graph. It is the Taiwan’s Suicide Rate. According to this graph we can compare with suicide rate are dramatic form 15.4% rise to 32.5% in the 18 to 29 age and during the year. That’s mean the suicide rate’s age is downside and It mean not only adult but also teenage are stressful as well.

 

Dou you feel stressed? You can refer this pie chart that’s show the total percentage of stress in Taiwan. We can see that 18% of very stressful and 36%of quite stressful. Wa that is over 50% percentage which is in stressful. As I say earlier the stress is number one cause of illness, and we need to recognize the stress now.

 

How high is your stress?

This is a little test.

  1. Is your life very busy?
  2. Do you hate all those things you have to do?
  3. Do you dislike being busy?
  4. Do you feel it's terrible that you don't have enough time?
  5. Do you eat when you are tired instead of taking a rest?
  6. Do you long for another space and time?
  7. Do you cry or get angry more than once a week?
  8. When you wake up in the morning, do you all your tasks weigh heavily?
  9. When you wake up in the morning, do you feel that you have to hurry?
  10. Do you long for some holiday?

If one time yes, there is a little stress already.

If more than five times you choose yes: you should take care.

Ten times yes: if you don't take action you're likely to get a burnout.

 

Then let we move on reduce and relax stress.

When your find you are in stress please take a few deep breaths to relax your mind, then try to change the way to see the situation when you meet the problem. That can help you controlling stress. Sometime we will think to much such as if something happen and it will be happen and I will lose something ,therefore your are tight in your mind before the something happen. So take easy and stop worry.

 

Then you need Identify your trigger like a presentation, heavy traffic, interviews, meetings, giving or receiving feedback, tight deadlines….and so on

Make a list to your stress trigger points.

 

Before I stop, let me through my main point again,Don’t allow stress to ruin your health and your life
